In our continued effort to provide training and tools to Mobile Affiliates we are making the MobAff Tracker FREE to qualified MobAff Network affiliates.
What can you do with this tracker?
It has always been a goal of mine to speak at Affiliate Summit.
This year they designed some annoying voting system, so if you’re going to Ad:Tech and want me to spill everything I know about making money in mobile…
Thanks in advance,
Alex
We started MobAff Performance Network out of necessity. The mobile marketplace is too fragmented and is constantly evolving, even the fastest moving brands and advertisers will be overwhelmed trying to keep up.
One of the most common questions I get is “where do I go for the most volume?” Like an annoying broken record my answer is always “depends.” For example are you looking for Android only traffic, are you looking for incentivized traffic, or perhaps you want SMS traffic.
Of course this is not to mention my bread and butter mobile display where the idea of a single source is far from a reality.
Lets look at a chart from MobileMarketer.com

The top ad network according to this is Millenial and even they are only responsible for 12% of the marketplace. Now lets compare this to some of my other favorite marketing channels search, and social. Search is clearly dominated by Google and Social by Facebook who own more than 50% of the market in their respective traffic types.
My point is that because the market is so fragmented this is the perfect opportunity for companies specializing in aggregation… such as affiliate networks to exist.
For Advertisers - Managing dozens of different ad networks is daunting even for the best of internal media buyers. Unless you are prepared to heavily invest in internal ad ops teams, be prepared to leave a lot of money on the table both from a volume standpoint and from an inability to figure out what exactly brings in the lowest CPA targets from your various marketing channels. By working with a CPA Affiliate Network you get wide distribution across various ad networks, media buyers, and app developers on a low risk cost basis. Simply decide what CPA makes sense and let a network like MobAff do all the heavy lifting.
For Affiliates - Traffic supply exceeds demand resulting in cheaper clicks. This allows talented media buyers and optimization specialists to find pockets of traffic that convert and can yield high ROIs and scale. The key is to work with a network that gets mobile, like MobAff, and figure out where your strengths lie to pick the offers that will have the highest chance of success. The first movers area always the ones to profit, so the longer you wait, the harder it will be to break into mobile in the future.
MobAff is not another CPA network, our goal is to help make the mobile marketplace more liquid and allow both advertisers and affiliates get the full potential from mobile in both scale and performance.
For those of you who couldn’t make it to Ads4Dough meetup in San Diego I’ve posted my slides from the presentation. There was a lot said that wasn’t in the slides but this will give you an idea of what I covered.
