Stop Trying to Game the System

I know a lot of you getting into mobile are searching for shortcuts. I don’t blame you after years of working with AdWords and their lack of serious support or Facebook who changes their ad TOS on a whim, I understand why you want to hide behind your computer run campaigns and find ways to find loopholes in the ad networks.

I’m here to tell you that you don’t need to go that route. These networks WANT your business, so start thinking of it as a long term partnership and next time there’s an update or regulation changes you won’t be caught with your pants down.

Here are 3 reasons why you should go legit when working with mobile.

  1. Helpful support – My reps are great, they help me get ads approved and give me tips on how to maximize the platform to get the most volume and still hit my CPA goals.
  2. Special Features – Once you build rapport you will notice special features added to your account including bulk upload and other beta additions.
  3. Invoice Billing – You don’t always need to pre pay for traffic. After you establish a track record you can start running campaigns like a real agency on a net 15 invoice.
I know I said I won’t blog, but I had to get this off my chest.

    Hey Angry Russian,

When you go to mobile ad networks, don’t you act as an agency?

How come you won’t be blogging anymore?

    • The Angry Russian 22 September 2011 at 12:47 pm #

Yes I do approach them as an agency because I consider myself an agency. My clients are affiliate networks and other result driven advertisers. I do everything an agency does from creative to campaign implementation.

Most bloggers make money from their blogging activities. I do not make money from this blog, hence don’t see the point of wasting my time giving away money making info. Any blog posts moving forward will be very top level stuff no more outing of traffic sources and how to use them.

That means most affiliates also function as an agency. I do see it better to be represented as an agency rather than an affiliate since there’s a negative feeling with that.

I can understand that. Mobile advertising seems like the next big trend for the next few years for affiliate marketers. I wonder how long it will be until ad networks become more strict.

Just registered to NeverBlue throgh your affiliate link.

Started my first mobile campaign yesterday with an offer form adsimilis(which I later saw that they just had brokered from Neverblue), and it was very profitable. I ad a ROI of 250%! Thanks for writing about mobile marketing..

Hey Wahid, sorry for the late reply but I had to comment a quick correction to your post – you’re mistake my friend, we absolutely did not broker anything from Neverblue. Marty is at the top of his game and Neverblue is a ROCKING network, just wanted to clarify since we never broker offers…never ever. That is all. :)

    Mr Russia,

I just signed up under your aff link too. That $2.75 I generate for you in revenue will be enough for you to buy me half a drink at ASW! ;)

    Cheers.

Just so you know thats a HIKE from AU to ASW so maybe this time around you’ll pace yourself and not get kicked out of the casino?

P.S. In America you don’t get kicked out of casinos for being drunk because we don’t live in a nanny state
